IACC Training Leads to Major FIFA World Cup Seizure

On May 19, 2026, the IACC and A Action Investigations co-hosted a specialized intellectual property enforcement training at the Aventura Police Department, bringing together local law enforcement officers from across the greater Miami area, along with representatives from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

CBP-Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Cargo conducted operations that resulted in more than 600 seizures of counterfeit World Cup-related merchandise and other infringing branded goods including over 100,000 counterfeit items imported into Miami & Fort Lauderdale with some transiting through for distribution to other countries.

IACC Co-Sponsored Seminar &

Product Identification Fair in Peru

In recognition of World Anti-Counterfeiting Day, the IACC co-sponsored a seminar and product identification fair on June 11, 2026, organized by the Commission Against Customs Crimes and Piracy of the Ministry of Production. The event brought together 61 municipal and law enforcement officials for training on counterfeit enforcement and emerging trends.

Mrs. Adriana Barrera, Managing Partner at BARLAW – Barrera & Asociados and representative of the IACC, provided an overview of the coalition alongside an analysis of emerging counterfeiting methodologies and recent market trends.

IACC Joins Regional Leaders to Strengthen IP Protection in the Caribbean

On June 23rd, the IACC joined Cervieri Monsuárez in support of Intellectual Property without Borders: Actions and Strategies in Anguilla, British West Indies, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening intellectual property protection through education, collaboration, and public-private partnerships. 

Representatives from Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, CARICOM, Curaçao, Dominica, Interpol, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sint Maarten, and Trinidad and Tobago were in attendance.
